Linfield's MC silences it's fans..

In the past week, Linfield's MC have conveyed a 'gagging order' in attempt to silence a fans website over at southstandsays.co.uk.

Linfield's Management Committee over the past season has made a lot of blunders regarding its public relations with its own fans. We've saw fans openly criticised by the Chairman in incidents without fan involvement, we've saw lifelong fans who attend every game, brutally attacked by Gards then openly criticised by the chairman as an element not normally seen at windsor. Lets not forget a BBC campaign against Linfield branding the 'My Aul Man' song unacceptable due to its 'Hatchets and Hammers' content, so Linfield decide to take a highly popular sold out CD 'The Windsor Roar' off the shelves. In response to that, they also now frown upon the singing of that song at Windsor, and also had a huge flag taken down containing those very Hatchets and Hammers words.
So, the focus for us this season was to ensure that Linfield start to look after their own fans this season and not make the blunders they did last season, however this week they have gone a step much too far.

Our good friends over at southstandsays.co.uk recently requested help with images for some of the new Linfield players, given our unofficial photographer Thompo retired at the end of last season. However, the southstandsays.co.uk editor was extremely shocked to find out that Linfield have put a 'gagging order' on southstandsays banning player interviews and any participation with the site due to how critical it has been of some people within the club.

Linfield however do not prevent access to Windsor Park to the BBC, UTV, Sunday World, Belfast Telegraph Group and the Sunday News who have all been extremely critical of the CLUB this past year.
The difference on this occasion is the ban has been put in place due to being critical of some individuals within the club, however never critical of Linfield FC, after all, thats who we all pay £120 per year and hundreds more to follow our team through thick and thin.

We at H&H stand at 634 members with 90% of them bluemen and we're the largest collective of fans outside of Windsor. The majority of those fans if not all visit southstandsays and we are grateful for what that site has provided since its inception.
We all demand now that these restrictions are lifted IMMEDIATELY from the site and co-operation is resumed with fan sites. We remind the Management Committee that they are there at the behest of the fans, the very same fans who visit SSS and H&H.
