Bluenose update:

Maccers on and shite. Linfield poor. Big Cliftonville support but a really poor blues. Could fit us into 3/4 of south stand.

Harkness wouldnt make it onto a bb team. Shite.

Sounds like a good start then :cheesy:

Do you know what formation we're playing? Going by the team list i am guessing 433 with three left footed players in midfield

Bit delayed:

Spike's 'goal' should have stood. Match shite otherwise. More entertaining watching Cliftonville supporters being ejected from ground.

So we are a goal down. We bring on a right back for a striker and rush jamie back when there is no chance he is ready. Good work your fucking maniac.

2-0 Reds. Just called me. Harkness with perfect tackle in the box - ref gives penalty. Murphy scores.

Fuck off.

So is that the revival officially over?

This is an embarrassment. How long is that man going to be indulged, when he persists in, trotting out his tired old cliches about the old guard being up for it, playing all 3 for another 90 minutes, starting Maccers when he shouldn't play for our club again, bringing back injured players too soon etc etc? That Reds side are a terrible team. Which says it all about us. Disgraceful. When was the last time we lost this many games at home in a season?

"Cliftonville have all the possession. Misky on - harkness off. This is the worst Linfield team in history"

But it's ok boys, we're rebuilding. As you do, using 2 39 year-olds and a done 34 year-old as the foundations.

jimhancot
04-11-08, 08:54 PM
1-2 Misky scores

Maybe some deleting to be done! :cheesy:

Blues apparently playing better now. So they'd maybe give the 90/91 team a game :)

BJB near scored an OG. End to end stuff

All over. Wank.

Seriously, Jeffrey. If you're going to make a balls-up of this season, at least be honest and do a proper rebuilding job. Time to ship out dead wood, regardless of sentiment.

Just got a call there. A linfield player seemd to be hit by a firework or rocket, fired from the Cliftonville end, and hit the floor. Hagan. He's up again fortunately, but understandably, the Bluemen are raging.

Lets see how the manager explains this.

County Antrim Shield Final - 04/11/2008

Linfield

vs

Cliftonville

Windsor Park, Belfast KICK OFF: 7:30pm

Linfield Scorer(s): Mark Miskimmin 79'
Cliftonville Scorer(s): Chris Scannell 64', Francis Murphy 69'

__________________________________________________ _____________________________________

FULL TIME: LINFIELD 1 - 2 CLIFTONVILLE

__________________________________________________ _____________________________________

Conor Hagan is on his feet and is walking gingerly off the pitch. Terrible scenes at Windsor Park as the Cliftonville players celebrate their Shield victory.

90 + 5' Full Time. Linfield's final push towards the end was in vain thanks to a Chris Scannell volley and a Francis Murphy penalty. As we speak, Cliftonville fans have thrown a firework onto the pitch that exploded just under Conor Hagan. Worrying scenes at the end of this County Antrim Shield Final.

90 + 3' Mark Patterson on for Francis Murphy.

90 + 1' Five minutes added time

90' Ryan Catney on for George McMullan.

88' From a corner kick, the ball broke on the left of the box to Billy Joe Burns and his clipped cross into the box was headed over from point blank range by Damien Curran. Great chance for Linfield.

85' Linfield are pushing for an equaliser. Are their efforts too late...?

82' Stephen O'Neill replaces Rory Hamill.

80' Could the comeback be on?

79' Linfield pull a goal back through Mark Miskimmin. Ferguson first poked the ball in from the right and Michael Carvill scuffed his shot towards goal only for Miskimmin to put in the loose ball. Good finish from the substitute.

77' Carvill's volley from the edge of the box went well over Connolly's crossbar.

77' Mark Miskimmin comes on in place of Jonathan Harkness.

69' And Francis Murphy makes it two nil.

68' Penalty Cliftonville. Harkness booked for a foul on Chris Scannell who was clean through on goal.

64' Conor Hagan and Jamie Mulgrew on for McAreavey and Munster respectively. Strange substitution.

64' A free kick from the right was whipped into the box and Chris Scannell did brilliantly well to control the ball first time and then volley the ball home from the edge of the box. Good finish giving Addis no chance.

59' Jonathan Harkness' free kick from around 30 yards failed to trouble Connolly.

54' O'Kane whipped in a free kick from the right and Paul Munster had his header deflected just wide for another corner.

53' George McMullan receives a yellow card for a foul on Carvill.

46' So Linfield start this second half knowing that they probably should be in front following a pretty even opening 45 minutes.

__________________________________________________ _____________________________________

HALF TIME: LINFIELD 0 - 0 CLIFTONVILLE

__________________________________________________ _____________________________________

45 + 1' Half Time at Windsor Park. On the balance of chances, Linfield probably should be in front, however chances have been few and far between for either side. Half Time: Linfield 0 - 0 Cliftonville

45' Best chance of the game so far. Munster was played through by Harkness, and when the "fox in the box" looked certain to score, John Connolly got down brilliantly to block his right footed effort.

43' Jonathan Harkness almost sliced the ball into his own net following a Cliftonville cross from the left.

38' Mark Holland was played through by George McMullan and appeared to be certain to score but Addis was on hand to make a great block.

36' Francis Murphy ran through on goal but his touch was slightly heavy and Addis was given enough room to slide in and clear the ball to safety.

28' The game has fairly "hotted" up since the disallowed goal.

26' Billy Joe Burns proceeded forward with a great run from defence. He played the ball out right to Michael Carvill whose cross was deflected into the back of the net. Unfortunately, Tommy Fairfield flagged for offside and the goal was chalked off. David Malcolm has also just booked Glenn Ferguson for his protestations.

22' Michael Carvill delayed his pass for too long and in the end a chance went begging for Linfield.

18' Still nothing to report...

12' There has been nothing to report so far...

0' So this County Antrim Shield Final has kicked off and Linfield will be hoping to claim the first trophy of the domestic season. Linfield are playing into the Kop End in this first half.

--

Tuesday night sees the first final of the domestic calendar with Linfield taking on North Belfast rivals Cliftonville. Linfield turned the Reds over 4-0 only last Monday and Cliftonville will be keen to extinguish all memories of that match. Join me from 7.15pm for team news from both camps.

The possibilities of that are endless...

Downey getting a warm reception?

Some home truths coming a certain arrogant fatboy's way? or the way of two clueless schoolteachers?
